Summer 2018 Blog

Hello everyone. Just updating my website with some new tour dates and realized I haven't added a blog update for a LOOOOONG time. Sorry. Much to be thankful about....I'm staying busy with performing in various musical projects, and on the technical side of things I've been doing live and studio sound for others, including my former bandmates in Yellow Brick Road, The Femmes of Rock (elec. string quartet fronted by Nina DiGregorio), and others. My production arsenal has grown considerably over the past couple years. I operate out of an office/warehouse facility in Laguna Niguel (Yellow Brick Road Entertainment). It's great to work both sides....on stage and behind the scenes, working out the left and right hemispheres of my brain (or what's left of it). Anyway, a quick note to say thanks to everyone (or anyone) out there reading this, and to all those who've supported me over the years. It's what keeps me going...until the next blog, I hope to see you out there somewhere. Take care.

Just discovered you on YouTube doing the Rockshow Symphony. WOW! Your vocals are so...spot on. ALL the nuances. When combined with your fellow guitar players, your vocals partner and that phenomenal orchestra, I was blown away. Kashmir in particular was mind boggling. I hope you will collectively be repeating such performance. Please add me to your email list. I MUST see you. danmahoney@cox.net

Brody, fantastic performance last night. Fun with the orchestra, giant sound when you were all cranked up, wonderful individual performances. A tour and lesson on the diversity of Freddie’s music. Wonderful mixing. Couldn’t have been better. I’m writing because I don’t think in the outdoor venue you could always sense how loud and tuned into you the crowd was. The crowd from edge to edge was enthusiastic and cheering and responsive, but I don’t think from the stage you could necessarily feel that. Outdoors the crowd sound just didn’t make the stage. But the crowd loved the whole thing. Wonderful concert. Did you know when the chelloist started that little demo canon the crowd gasped it was so beautiful? Never heard that happen before. What a night! Thanks.

Saw your show in Modesto doing the songs of Queen. It was fantastic. I've seen Queen live a number of times and could appreciate the fact that you played guitar on Crazy Little Thing Called Love and piano on bohemian Rhapsody just like good old Freddie. Come back sometime we really enjoyed it
